Oscars 2016 Acting Nominations: Who will bring home the Gold?

88th Academy Awards Acting Nominees

If you were nominated in one of the Acting categories  in the Academy Awards, what kind of emotions would you have? Will you be happy, excited, stressed-out, nervous, or scared?

With the 88th Academy Awards just a few days away, I can only imagine how the Acting nominees are feeling right now. I wouldn't have been able to sleep or eat or even breath because of the anticipation.

There is a total of 20 nominees for the following categories, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress.

Eight of those actors are first-time nominees. Sunday's event will be a first for Bryan Cranston, Charlotte Rampling, Brie Larson, Alicia Vikander, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Rachel McAdams, Mark Rylance, and Tom Hardy.

Between all of the nominees, there has been a total of 51 nominations. Leonardo diCaprio has earned 5 Acting nominations and 1 nomination as a Producer. Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet has 7 Acting nominations each.

Out of the 20 actors nominated, 10 are from various nationalities. Saoirse Ronan is the daughter of Irish immigrants who lived in New York where she was born. She actually was born in Brooklyn which is also the name of her nominated movie.

There are six nominees who won a total of seven Oscars with Cate Blanchett winning 2 of those (The Aviator and Blue Jasmine). Matt Damon's win is not for an Acting Award but for his Original Screenplay for "Good Will Hunting". Eddie Redmayne won his first during last year's Academy Awards.

Sylvester Stallone's nod for Best Supporting Actor (Creed) is 39 years after his 2 nominations for the 1977 movie, Rocky. And the best thing about all of his nominations --- he's playing the same character, Rocky Balboa.

Michael Fassbender who is nominated for his turn as Steve Jobs and Alicia Vikander, Best Supporting Nominee for "The Danish Girl, are currently dating and my guess is that they will be going to the Awards Night together.

Don't forget to tune in on February 28, 7 pm (ET)|4 pm (PT) and cheer for your favorites.

It will also be telecast internationally and can be seen through live streaming as well.
